MetaStock Data Feed
Our MetaStock data feed is the Xmaster version (i.e. up to 6000 stocks per folder) introduced with MetaStock 8 and compatible right up to the latest version of MetaStock. It can be used with MetaStock Version 8 (and later) and any other software package that can read this database format.

We supply the exchange code or symbol (usually 3 or 4 characters but can be up to 6 characters) and the exchange nickname (up to 9 characters).  With this description we also provide a sector grouping number so you can sort and locate stocks based on their market sector.

You have the range of data and the option of charting one or more of the exchanges as listed in the All Data Feeds section.

We supply a single software utility called AutoUpdate which downloads each of your data feeds and updates your historic data as soon as the data becomes available.  Everything is automated.

MetaStock Version 12 is not supported as it cannot read locally stored data.

MetaStock 15 (and later) introduced a new data format called MSlocal, but they continue to read local Xmaster data (called Legacy data in version 15) and thus are fully supported by our data feed.

As the Xmaster format supports a maximum of 6000 stocks per folder and the combined USA markets have more than this limit, our USA datafeed is split into two folders containing the actively traded stocks in one and the highly illiquid stocks in the other.
